Boarders Surf/Skate Shop is owned by Father and Son Steve and Christian Stathis and managed by Dave Miller.
    All 3 guys are Rockaway Beach natives. Steve is a second generation Rockaway native, Christian obviously, is a 3rd generation Rockaway native with roots in the Rockaways that go back 84 years. The photo on the right shows back in the 1960's, one of Rockaway's, (and New York for that matter) earliest surfing crews. This photo is in the shop and everyone always ask, "Which one is you, Steve?" Steve always says, "I'm the good looking guy" Steve is also founder of "The Graybeards"
A local non-profit organization.  FYI, Steve is wearing the red top with the newspaper.
Christian Stathis, partners with his Dad Steve, is a husband, an excellent surfer, and a New York City Firefighter. Christian, and some FDNY labor built the Surfboard lockers, and just completed the back deck for the local surf crew to hangout. Christian can be found in the shop, home, in the Firehouse, or in the water!
Store Manager Dave Miller, also a Rockaway native is an excellent skater and knows the shop inside and out. Dave does a lot of graphic designs for the shop on his laptop, which have been transferred into tee shirts, etc.....
These guys are great guys and the only goal is to satisfy there customers.
